This means we must ensure the way we teach the skill is in such a way that they understand and can apply it and often this is a process of offering it to them in small steps. This way we are setting them up for success.

Body Life Skills - Artificial Blue and True Blue

A crucial understanding to have when applying the Body Life Skills program to your life is the difference between a true blue and an artificial blue. Whilst we can be at blue is it long term, or is it short term? We can think that when we use things from outside us that bring us to a percieved state of blue is what our true blue is. But in fact a true state of blue is only ever established from within us and is forever deepening without needing anything from the outside to sustain it.

Body Life Skills - Step Two: Life

In this video, Tanya Curtis covers Step Two of The Body Life Skills Program which is to identify the specific aspect of life the person does not feel they have the skills to respond to. Here we micro anaylse the person's life and come to understand where this area might be. The important thing here is that it is entirely based on the person's perception, never our own even if we can see they have the skills to respond to that part of life, the person themselves might not perceive it that way.
