Is it possible that the quality of our foundations makes all the difference when it comes to lasting behaviour change?

Well, it certainly looks like it – on the right a house with rickety poles, an external staircase that is entirely unsupported and a shaky structure that is waving in the breeze, buffeted by the winds.

So what happens when a storm hits, when life presents life lesson after life lesson, as it invariably does and there are new skills to learn?

The solid foundations of the house on the left will certainly stand us in good stead; its foundations provide the ground to stand on, a base that exudes reassurance and provides a firm holding for whatever comes our way.

Without solid foundations, there is NO lasting behaviour change. Results are hit and miss and always short-lived. So, what would you rather have? Uncertainty, doubts and turmoil or rock solid foundations, steadiness and strength?
