Jennene is passionate about contributing to strong and vital communities through empowering those around her to connect to and express their strengths.
Jennene’s broad life experience includes raising two neurodivergent daughters (one with a chronic health condition), navigating challenging situations within education and medical systems and encouraging others to think outside the box and work together to find the most supportive way forward for all. This foundation led to Jennene working in consultancy and advocacy for people with hidden/non-visible disabilities, developing training programs for Australian airports and corporate organisations, bringing the lived-experience voice to the table that focussed on co-creating person-centred and socially inclusive spaces and experiences that foster meaningful participation and belonging. More recently Jennene has worked with the NDIS in community engagement and development and as a Local Area Coordinator (LAC) and as a disability support worker.
Currently studying a Diploma of Counselling, Jennene joins FABIC as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, with the awareness of the powerful impact this can have on the lives of all involved when faced with challenging life experiences.
Jennene is known for bringing her calm and nurturing demeanour, her finely tuned listening and communication skills to any task she undertakes.
