I have always been drawn to people, especially young people who may be struggling to feel understood, supported or safe in the world around them.
My work has taken me across early childhood, primary and secondary education, special developmental schools, youth detention, youth homelessness, disability support, camps, and mainstream school settings. Over more than 20 years, I have worked alongside children, teenagers, families and multidisciplinary teams in a wide range of environments, and that breadth of experience has shaped the way I support people today.
What sits at the heart of my work is simple: I genuinely see the goodness in people. I do not define someone by their behaviour, their diagnosis, or the hardest season of their life. I see behaviour as communication, and I believe every person is an amazing, lovable human being underneath whatever challenges may be showing up on the surface.
That belief is a huge part of why FABIC feels so aligned for me.
I love helping bring more harmony, flow and understanding into people’s lives. Sometimes the biggest shifts come from things that seem small at first: helping a parent feel seen and supported, helping a young person feel safe enough to engage again, helping a family create more structure, or helping a team respond with greater consistency and confidence. I find deep meaning in those moments, because they can change the direction of a young person’s life.
My strongest area of experience is working with children, adolescents and young adults, particularly where disability, school engagement, emotional regulation, learning challenges, family stress, or more complex support needs are part of the picture. I have supported young people across very different presentations and levels of need, from those with significant disabilities and high-care requirements through to students in mainstream settings who may be experiencing anxiety, school refusal, disengagement or social and emotional challenges.
I also value honesty and fit. I believe support coordinators and families deserve a practitioner who is thoughtful, grounded and realistic about where they can offer the most value. I will always approach each referral with care, integrity and a genuine commitment to what is best for the person and their support network.
For support coordinators, schools and families looking for someone who is warm, highly experienced, collaborative and deeply invested in lasting change, I bring both practical experience and a calm, human way of working. I care deeply about helping young people and the adults around them feel more equipped, more connected and more hopeful about what is possible.
