Behaviour Rating Scale – Example 2: Andrew
$10.00 – $15.00
An example of how to fill in a behaviour rating scale where supporter and Andrew himself are offered an opportunity to communicate and discuss how each rate the behaviour in the classroom.
This is a BEHAVIOUR RATING SCALE for Andrew when his friend is staying for a sleepover.
On the right, under NON-PREFFERED or THUMBS DOWN BEHAVIOUR, is a list of how Andrew used to behave previously. On the left he is shown how he is expected to behave, the PREFERRED or THUMBS UP BEHAVIOUR, if he wants to have his friend over again.
In this case, rating 1 on the chart allows Andrew to invite his friend for another sleepover in a fortnight and rating 2 is left open at this stage and to be agreed upon.
Note that the supporter and Andrew himself are offered an opportunity to communicate and discuss how they rate the behaviour during sleepover on this occasion and when the next one can occur.
