Everyone faces the reality of a loss at some point in their life. Be it a loss of a loved one, or even the family pet, or favourite toy, these moments are almost part and parcel of human life. But how do we deal with these moments? Do we bury the hurt and pain of this time and try to carry on with life? Or could there be another way?

Tanya Curtis digs a little deeper under the apparent reality of what a loss is and exposes the fact that a loss happens any time a picture, ideal, need, expectation, or investment does not happen in the way we may have wanted it to. She explores the fact that many of these moments put together over time create what we call 'depression'.

There is much more behind the loss than the apparent reality would have us believe and this all needs to be understood in full before any true and lasting behaviour change can occur.
