Fabic Video - Austism Spectrum Disorder

Video gold on Autism Spectrum Disorder

Anyone who has been around or had the experience of knowing someone who has an ASD condition would know that people with an ASD do have a very literal and direct way of viewing life. While the core principles of behaviour change apply to those with an ASD just like they do to us all, the patterns and behaviours exhibited can be more extreme than seen in those that do not have an ASD condition.

Tanya Curtis brings it back to the core central truth of us all and that is that we are all equally Amazing, Awesome and Lovable beings no matter what conditions or behaviours may be had or exhibited. And hence the importance of understanding and never judging the behaviours but seeing that it is simply an expression that comes from not perceiving there is the skills to handle all that life asks of that individual in that moment.

None of these conditions exist in our essence, so why do we have to let them dominate our lives?

So sit back, and listen and enjoy! We trust you will find what is shared supportive and enriching for your quality of wellbeing

Body Life Skills - Diagnosis, Labels and Autism Spectrum Disorder

A diagnosis is only just a marker to say what your strengths are and what your weaknesses are and they support in understanding what the person might be experiencing in life

. BUT as Fabic Behaviour Specialist Tanya Curtis explains, the label or diagnosis does NOT define who the person is. You are not truly autistic, you are an awesome, amazing lovable being who is showing signs of Autism but it does not define who you are, it just identifies the parts of life you have yet to master.

Fabic's Approach on Autism Spectrum Disorder

At Fabic, the way a person with an autism spectrum disorder is treated is no different to how you and I are treated. Just because they have an ASD does not make them different simply because we are all innately awesome, amazing lovable beings. It's simply that a person with such a condition tends to see the world differently from most other people and it is our responsibility to understand this and to honour and respect that.
