Fabic Audio - Children

Audio gold on Children

We all exhibit behaviours we would not prefer to be using at some time in our lives. And while this applies to all of us no matter what gender or age, the display of non-preferred behaviours is especially seen in children. After all, who hasn't seen a child mis-behave?

While it is important we all understand our non-preferred behaviours without any judgement or criticism, this is especially important around children because as they grow up and learn the skills they need to for mastering life, they too like us all, need the care and support that comes with this approach of dealing with behaviour change, as this allows them to feel the fact that making mistakes is OK and all part of the learning process of life.

Having worked with children for many years, Tanya Curtis has much to share on this subject and can offer greater insight into how children see and perceive things that adults may perceive in a very different way.

No matter who you may be, parent or not, there is something in these snippets of gold for us all. Enjoy!

The Word No

Ever experienced or at least been witness to someone having to say no to someone else only to receive a reaction of dislike back? How do we say no without getting such a level of reaction and how do we show love and understanding through this process? Fabic Behaviour Specialist Tanya Curtis explores this in greater depth and raises the possibility that we are saying more than just 'No' when this word is used.

Building Trust Through Consistency

How often do we say we will one thing and then do something completely different such as saying we will be home at 4 and then not arrive home till after 5? The impact that this has on our relationships with others especially our children is huge and can often lead them to developing that exact same behaviour later in life.
