Functional Behaviour Assessments

Fabic conduct a Functional Behaviour Assessment to investigate the reasons for specific behaviours being used.  Fabic staff understand that all behaviour has a reason and identifying the reason is a fundamental step in understanding and changing an unwanted behaviour.

The assessment gathers information via interviews and observations and is partially conducted in the environment where unwanted behaviour is occurring; the home, school or community environment.

This assessment lays the foundation for the development of an individualised intervention plan.

The outcome is a detailed report containing the perceived causes of the behaviour and a series of recommendations and practical tools to manage the behaviour.
