Fabic's Vision

Fabic’s goal is to provide short and long-term services which strengthen our overriding vision statement:

“Fabic aims to support ALL people to understand and change unwanted behaviour leading to an overall acceptance for ALL individuals in their own rightful uniqueness”

How do we propose to do this?

Through the existing services, Fabic is working gradually towards this goal.  In the long-term Fabic has a number of visions that once come to fruition will help support this vision statement to become holistically accepted by the general population:

  1. Fabic aims to develop a holistic clinic on the Gold Coast which provides clinical services to all those wanting to understand and change unwanted behaviour.  The clinic will aim to provide services from numerous professionals from an array of modalities all working towards a similar vision of “supporting individuals to be accepted in their own rightful uniqueness”.  The clinic will not only provide clinical services but also professional training to those whom are interested in this same vision.
  2. Fabic aims to develop a school that will support those whose individuality is stunted by the current education system.  Like all systems, they are often filled with strengths and weaknesses and may support many ... but not all.   Based on the experience of many of Fabic’s clients, it can be seen that the current system does not always support them to reach their full potential ... in fact it often stunts their progress.   The school proposed will be geared towards supporting those whom struggle in the current system to reach their full potential in a positive, supportive and accepting environment, targeting people’s strengths rather than focussing on their weakness.
  3. Fabic aims to develop accredited training courses to enable many people to further their skills and understanding of behaviour.  With accredited courses we will ensure there is uniformity in the deliverance of the courses, ensuring that all are equipped with the same underlying behavioural philosophies and principles.  As suggested by many education staff; it is hoped that these courses will become part of our upcoming teacher’s university programmes. The courses will also be of benefit to medical, disability, correctional and legal staff ... in fact all industries working with challenging or unwanted behaviours.
